A murderous traitor. A deadly secret. A battle for truth.
Kat has trained for the last six months to join the Covert Council Service. All that stands in her way are her trials, the final test of her training. If she survives, she'll be a full-fledged agent, able to fight the Directorate and right the wrongs of her mother's past.
Keeping secrets has become a way of life. Kat's the only person who knows a Directorate mole lurks in the Council's midst. With the traitor's identity a mystery, she can't afford to trust anyone, even if it means lying to the people she's vowed to protect.
When the mole almost kills Kat during her trials, she must uncover his identity before he has a chance to finish the job. Her search for the traitor will bring the CCS to its knees, but if she fails, her life and the lives of every CCS agent will be forfeit.
Magic Betrayed is the third book in the Magic Born series and is intended to be read after Magic Born and Magic Unknown.

Not a fan of Kat, the main character. She’s a know-it-all who just doesn’t listen to what others are trying to tell her. She never seems to learn from her mistakes and just keeps forging ahead without any character development. The one bright spot in book 2 and 3 is Millhook, who is proving to be my favorite character. He's sarcastic and brilliant, real and direct. And while he defends Kat at times, he always isn't afraid to let her know when she needs a time out.

Magic Betrayed The Elustria Chronicles Magic Born Book 3 eBook Caethes Faron Reviews
Great series with a believable female lead!!!
Love this series. Can't wait until the next book comes out. I only wish writers could write much faster than they do
good read
This was also a great book. Easy reading. Just enjoyable.
Good read look forward to the next one I like the story and the characters. I'll be into it asap
Keep up the good work. I admire your work.
The chapter numbers were all scrued up, but the that only caused amusement.
I liked how quickly this book moves along and she took a different take on magic and sorcery than I've seen before. I felt like the main character was whining from time to time but that was the only thing that I didn't like. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, would recommend it to others, and I'm about to start reading book two. Enjoy!
The continuing story of Kat and her challenge to find her place had a lot of nail biting scenes. Kat is that one person who is has to keep her secrets to herself or risk finding herself an outcast without magic. She is one smart cookie because she is able to reason why something is going on and how to follow the clues. I was disappointed that Alex was not in this story as much because I really like him as a character and hopefully he and Millhook will be featured more in the next book in the series. This is turning into a very epic adventure and cannot wait to read the next one.
